这是一部很简单浅白——可以说好懂得有点幼稚的动画片，除了采取近年流行的“反英雄”视角、让坏蛋当一回主角以外，并没有特别深奥的内容，却可以让人在看完之后有所沉淀、有所思考：所谓计划赶不上变化，但谁又知道在下一个人生转角等待着我们的会是什么呢？
金字塔被盗一案惊动了全世界，大坏蛋格鲁坐不住了，召集手下开动员大会……
Gru: Now, I realize that you guys have probably heard about this other villain[坏人] who stole the pyramids.
Apparently[显然地], it's a big deal. People are calling it the crime of the century and stuff like that. But am I upset? No, I am not! A little, but we have had a pretty good year ourselves, and you guys are all right in my book. No, no raises! You're not going to get any raises. 
What did we do? Well, we stole the Times Square Jumbotron注! Nice, huh? That's how I roll! Yeah, you all like watching football on that, huh? But that's not all. We stole the Statue of Liberty—the small one from Las Vegas. And I won't even mention the Eiffel Tower—also Vegas.
Okay, I wasn't going to tell you about this yet, but I have been working on something very big! Something that will blow this pyramid thing out of the water! And thanks to the efforts of my good friend Dr. Nefario…
Dr. Nefario: Thank you!
Gru: Now we have located a shrink[收缩] ray in a secret lab, and once we take this shrink ray, we will have the capability to pull off[成功做到] the true crime of the century.
We are going to steal... (The group takes out the weapons.) Wait, wait! I haven't told you what it is yet.
Next, we are going to steal—pause for effect—the moon! And once the moon is mine, the world will give me whatever I want to get it back! And I will be the greatest villain of all time! That's what I'm talking about!
格鲁：我想你们应该都听说某个恶棍偷走了金字塔。这显然是一项壮举。人人都说这是世纪大案什么的。但我会很不爽吗？不，不可能！是有那么一丁点儿，但我们今年也收获颇丰，我认为你们大伙儿都干得不错。不，没有加薪！我才不会给你们加薪呢。

“in one's book”这个固定搭配的意思是“按照个人的观点”，例如：
