剧情梗要:玛格丽特的受伤让桑顿先生再也无法隐藏内心的情感。在明知玛格丽特对自己并无爱意的情况下,仍然向她表明心迹。然而,彼此心中已存的偏见以及面对时代变化、面对罢工风潮的不同态度,成为两人最大的隔阂。
Mr. Thornton: I had not noticed the colour of this fruit. Miss Hale, I'm afraid I was very ungrateful yesterday.
Margaret: You have nothing to be grateful for.
Mr. Thornton: I think that I do.
