动画片“机器人总动员”《Wall-E》主题歌 "Down To Earth" 获81届奥斯卡电影原创歌曲提名。
《Wall-E》主题歌“Down to Earth”由托马斯·纽曼和彼特·加布埃尔共同创作，彼得·加布里埃尔希望能在奥斯卡上完整演唱这首歌曲，但奥斯卡制作人只给他60-65秒时间，彼特·加布埃尔认为在这么短的时间里无法真正展现出这首歌曲的魅力，于是决定退出表演。
因此在第81届奥斯卡颁奖典礼中唱down to earth的是歌手约翰-勒珍德(John Legend)与索威托灵歌合唱(Soweto Gospel Choir)共同演唱的。
