A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; It will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower[遮阴处] quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
A flowery band to bind us to the earth,
Spite of despondence[沮丧], of the inhuman dearth[缺乏]
Of noble natures, of the gloomy days,
Of all the unhealthy and o'er[即over] -darkn'd ways
Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all,
Some shape of beauty moves away the pall[
From our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon,
Trees old and young, sprouting[萌发] a shady boon[恩惠]
For simple sheep; and such are daffodils[
With the green world they live in; and clear rills[
That for themselves a cooling covert[遮蔽处] make
'Gainst the hot season; the mid-forest brake,
Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms:
And such too is the grandeur[伟大] of the dooms
We have imagined for the mighty dead;
All lovely takes that we have heard or read:
An endless fountain of immortal[不朽的] drink,
Pouring unto us from the heaven's brink[
它越来越可爱,永远不会消失;
为纯朴的羊群长出遮荫的凉棚;
像旱地黄水仙和它们生活的绿色世界;
想象出来的崇高的评判;
A Thing of Beauty
